The Mediterranean Center for Rehabilitation and Recovery located in the municipality of Loutraki constitutes one of the modern Centers for Rehabilitation in Europe. The Center is surrounded by a beautiful natural environment with a picturesque view of the Gulf of Corinth and the Gerania Mountain Range. The Center’s goal is to become an important facility in the health industry which will play a significant role in the private health/rehabilitation sector and become an attractive destination for the rehabilitation and recovery of patients.

The Center provides highly specialized personnel in all fields of rehabilitation along with state-of-the-art equipment and a complete range of rehabilitation services in a modern, friendly and healthy environment which will meet the special requirements for both inpatients and outpatients.

Promoting medical tourism for our Center will be our main objective. In combination with the healthy tourist industry of the city of Loutraki, we plan to make our Center a favourable solution for patients as well as their traveling companions.

The Mediterranean Center for Rehabilitation can be easily accessed as the city of Loutraki is connected to Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport via the Suburban Train network. In addition, our own bus can service visitors to and from the airport.

Facilities & Amenities


The Rehabilitation building for inpatients and outpatients is situated on a private plot of land of 40.000 m2. It has a total area of 6.700 m2 with a total capacity of 100 beds (4 beds Intensive Care Unit).


The Center includes: Gymnasium, Parking (250 spaces), Reception area, Cafeteria/Restaurant, two indoor pools, Outpatient Service areas, External areas for patient use and Recreation areas.


The 100 bed capacity is comprised of: 23 three-bed rooms, 12 two-bed rooms, 2 single-bed suites and 1 four-bed Intensive Care Unit.

Each room is supplied with the following:

  • Spacious bathroom (w. shower) according to guidelines for disability
  • A/C (heat & cold)
  • Wardrobe
  • Fridge

  • Each room is properly designed to accommodate our patients comfortably within a therapeutic environment of high standard.


The diet of the patients is determined in collaboration with the attending therapists according to the required diet and nutritional needs of each patient and their clinical condition. Meals are prepared in-house by professionally trained chefs in our modern kitchen facility.

Visitors are welcome in the wards only during the following times:
Visiting Hours
• Monday – Friday: 17:00 h to 19:00 h
• Saturday: 17:00 h to 19:00 h
• Sunday: 11:00 h to 13:00 h and 17:00 h to 19:00 h
Visitor Do’s
• Follow the directions of the senior person in charge of each area and/or department.
• Do be considerate of others present in the Center.
Visitor Don’ts
• Smoking is prohibited, so please do not smoke.
• Please do not bring handy cameras, and visitors below 12 years to the Center.
• Food or drinks are not permitted in the clinic

Patient Insurance
We accept a large number of insurances. Our Admissions staff will work with your insurance company to identify what is covered and which costs, if any, you will be responsible for. Patients who pay for their own medical care or patients from abroad are also welcome.

• The Physiotherapy Unit covers respiratory, cardiovascular, orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation with a particular emphasis on kinetic disabilities.
• The Aquatic Therapy Unit is comprised of two heated indoor pools on two levels (ground floor, basement) focusing on the rehabilitation of patients with orthopedic, neurological and rheumatological problems.
• The Occupational Therapy Unit and Self-Assistance provides the necessary skills for the improvement of the patient’s daily routines and productive activities.

Outpatient Rehabilitation Program
An assessment of the patient is made by a physiatrist who sets an individualized rehabilitation program depending on the condition, age and related conditions at the initial visit (open or closed hospitalization).

George Fragkakis is the Scientific Director of the Mediterranean Center for Rehabilitation. He is a Specialist Doctor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation – Physiatrist – Medical School Karol Marcinkowski, Poland (speaking section). He specialized in Rehabilitation at General Hospital Asklipio in Voula, Athens, where he trained in static and kinetic gait analysis using orthotic analysis and electrodiagnostic control by Electromyography.
He holds the European title of the specialty of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has specialized in Medical electroacupuncture, Mckenzie method and injection techniques for management of painful syndromes. He speaks English and Polish
